We have a wonderful full time opportunity to join the Home Care team at Salem - Toowoomba
**This is a Permanent, full time opportunity.**
**About us**:
Lutheran Services is a not-for-profit organisation that has been serving the people and communities of Queensland since 1935. We provide quality, contemporary care and support for people of all backgrounds, at more than 20 locations throughout Queensland. Our dedicated workforce makes a difference to the lives of many people every day.
A part of the Toowoomba community since 1935, **Salem** is minutes from Toowoomba’s town centre and offer a mix of single, shared or single private en-suite rooms in an open and friendly community that welcomes family and friends.
As a member of the Lutheran Services team, you will enjoy a great work-life balance, generous benefits, flexible arrangements and ongoing opportunities for professional development and career progression.
**Let’s talk about the role**:
You may be the first face people see when they come to Salem. So it will suit someone who enjoys interacting with other people and attending to their needs. When you're not helping visitors and residents, you will provide support to the manager and other staff as required that allows people in different roles to do their work well - we are all pitching in to make this a place where our residents have the best experience possible.
For example (and no two days are the same), your responsibilities may include:
- Acting as the initial point of contact for residents, contractors, and visitors to the service
- Answer and direct telephone enquiries appropriately
- Undertaking filing, document preparation, mail distribution and banking
- Doing receipting, petty cash and the management of safe tins
**Now let’s talk about you**:
Most importantly, you have read this far because you like the sound of working somewhere that helps people. You are someone who likes to contribute to making brighter days for others. With you prior customer service and/or business administration skills, you are comfortable using technology to do your job.
You will enjoy the security of a permanent, full time role.
We look forward to hearing why you’d like to be part of our team
