The role of the Program Administrator is a permanent part-time, 3 days a week job share position. The role will provide administrative support to assist the provision of individual and group respite, as well as social services to the Carer Support program clients within Access Health and Community.
The Carer Support program offers flexible in-home respite or centre based respite support during the day. Hours are mainly Monday-Friday 9am - 4:30pm. Our qualified staff provide individualised care and support to assist each of our clients (and their carers) to stay active, connected, involved and independent at home.
**What you will be doing**
- Answer the phone and offer a welcoming support to clients in the centre providing a friendly and efficient service to all stakeholders
- Update information to carers and clients about changes to regular service provision -transport arrangements, respite time changes, late opening and early closure times for the centre
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation for individual and group activities
- Conducting daily opening and closing procedures
- Check Food Safety and COVID-19 cleaning and PPE supplies are available to staff
- Undertake other general administrative duties
**What you will bring**
- Key Selection Criteria_
***At least 3 years’ administration experience in a similar role within an aged, disability or community program and customer service skills essential
- High level of computer literacy - experience using Microsoft packages
- Experience in managing time effectively, prioritising daily tasks and other requests
- Accurate and quick data entry skills, able to work with deadlines and strong ability to multitask.
- Strong attention to detail, communication and relationship building skills
- Experience working with Aged Care clients, home care packages and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment, with a mature approach to resolving problems and conflict and contribution to shared decision-making

- An ability to work sensitively with people of diverse cultures, abilities, ages, sexualities and gender identities
- Effective time management and strong analytical and problem solving skills
