**Position Information**:
Gosford Public School is situated on a shared site with Henry Kendall High School and was re-established on the new site in 2014 after providing over 60 years of continuous service on the old site situated on the waterfront of Gosford. Consequently, our school community enjoys wonderful and relatively new school facilities. Our school also benefits as a recipient of the Chapman Trust which was established in 1963 and provides annually, a very generous financial donation.

Gosford Public School with a Family Occupation and Education Index (FOEI) of 55 and a current student population of 511 students is arguably one of the most culturally diverse school communities on the Central Coast with nearly 45% of students coming from families where English is the second language. The school's EAL/D program has grown in significance over the last few years and currently supports 60 students. The school's Aboriginal Education Team also supports and engages with 29 students and their families who have identified as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school will continue to maintain its strong connection with the Cooinda AECG. This partnership provides valuable consultation which in turn leads to positive educational outcomes for our students.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach infants and primary K-6 with demonstrated excellence in planning and delivering high-quality, data and evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs that positively impact the learning outcomes of all students.
- Outstanding ability to create a positive learning environment utilising effective classroom management strategies to support the welfare and wellbeing of students from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate and consult with staff and community, resulting in strengthened relationships and enhanced whole school systems and culture.
- Proven capacity to work as part of a team to develop and implement inclusive, individualised learning and support programs and pathways for students with complex needs.
- Demonstrated willingness and capacity to produce innovative programs that enrich and extend student learning and extra-curricular opportunities including Dance, Choir and Sport.
