**Position Information**:
Gosford East Public School is located on the Central Coast on Darkinjung land. The school is set on spacious and well-maintained grounds surrounded by the waterways of Brisbane Water and a range of important cultural and historical sites. The school has an enrolment of 320 students, with approximately 9% of students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and approximately 6% of students who have a language background other than English. A vital part of the whole school community is the inclusivity of the Gosford East Public School Support Unit which has a long and proud history of successfully supporting students with a wide range of additional learning needs.

Gosford East Public School is a proud member of the Tjudibaring local AECG and has high aspirations for building positive partnerships and providing ongoing cultural and learning connections for all. Respectful collaborations and the fostering of genuine engagement and sense of belonging with all members of the community is something that Gosford East Public School will strive to enhance into the future.

The teaching staff are committed to enhancing their own practice in the delivery of high-quality curriculum and pedagogy. Collective efficacy is developing, and the school are seeking to strengthen and further embed a vision to drive collaborative practice, programs, and systems across the whole school to enhance student outcomes. Staff have had a recent focus on professional learning in numeracy and this has demonstrated improved practice and enhanced outcomes for students.

The school prioritise PBL as the underpinning of the whole school wellbeing program to reinforce learning culture and expectations across the school. The school are seeking to continue to strengthen this into the future through exploring ways to maximise the potential of the program.

The Gosford East Public School P&C have a reinvigorated focus on collaborating with the school to strengthen the sense of belonging through community focused events. Collaborating with staff and supporting the resourcing of the school to enhance the learning environment for every learner and our families, will be an ongoing high priority.

3. Excellence in leading staff through educational change, implementing high impact pedagogy with a shared vision to strengthen a dynamic learning environment.

4. Demonstrated leadership and commitment to enhancing whole school learning, well-being and extra curricula programs which foster inclusion, engagement and respect.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
