**As a Project Officer you will**:

- Manage and perform a variety of operational support functions on behalf of the Executive Director which supports governance arrangements and the operation of daily activities including:

- preparation of materials for meetings, briefings and stakeholder engagement
- drafting presentations, communications and responses
- coordinating receipt of key information from internal and external stakeholders
- Provide advice and information on corporate governance, correspondence, executive and administrative support matters to ensure effective outcomes are achieved.
- Build and maintain cohesive and professional working relationships across Local Government Division, internal and external stakeholders and clients across the local government sector.
- Monitor, analyse and review projects and initiatives across the division, provide feedback and input on behalf of the Executive Director and advise senior management on the status of each project and initiative.
- Contribute to the Division's outcomes by participating in the identification of emerging issues and implement business improvement processes by planning and promoting a co-ordinated approach to activities across the Division.
- Prepare and/or coordinate submissions, presentations, reports, papers, statements, briefings and correspondence on complex issues and respond to requests received by the Executive-Director on a range of issues.
- Liaise, consult, and negotiate across all areas of the department and divisional staff to obtain or provide relevant and timely information.
