**The Organisation**

The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is an internationally recognised independent, not-for-profit cancer hospital in Camperdown. It is one of only two comprehensive cancer centres in Australia and is well known for their world-class clinical care
**,** research and education, as well its innovative Biomedical Innovation Hub. Their multidisciplinary model of care is centered around the patient, ensuring that each individual receives the most effective treatment possible. And with Australia’s largest You Can Centre for young people, they are dedicated to supporting those who need it most.

**The Role and Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Development Services Manager, this role will be directly responsible for providing administrative support across the Development team. This will include processing and administering the income and expenditure to philanthropic gifts.

No two days will be the same in this exciting and varied role, the responsibilities include:

- Support with financial administration of philanthropic and grant funding including: gift processing, receipting, invoice processing, credit card acquittals and reimbursements
- Support the day-to-day fundraising activities and database support via Salesforce
- Manage donor phone calls and face to face enquiries
- Collaborate and support with meeting set up, minute taking and catering as required
- Ad-hoc administration including, stationery ordering and stocktake

**Skills and Attributes**
- Excellent multitasking, time management and organisational skills, without losing attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite (Excel is a must), ability to quickly pick up new databases/software - Experience with Salesforce or related databases will be advantageous
- First-class verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate high emotional intelligence and empathy
- Experience in a customer-service-oriented role, and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- A passion for the charity sector, previous experience in fundraising is desired
