**PROJECT SCHEDULER /CONTROLLER**

**THE PROJECT**

Multimillion doallr contruction Project in Tullamarine for an industrial plant and supporting other capital works.

The role is based full time in Tullamarine. Individual will need ability to travel to Morewell/Traralgon.

**YOUR ROLE**

**As the Project Scheduler/Controller you will provide project scheduling and control support to the Project Managers. Contract schedulers have been used for the whole project life cycle. This role has been created to 'in-house' this function.** **Furthermore, you will drive to develop and manage project schedules in accordance with good scheduling practice under the direction of the Project Manager.**
- Lead and mentor sub-contractor schedulers to produce a high-quality dependable schedule.
- Forecast and assist in direction of work effort
- Provide progress and incurred cost data to the Project Manager to facilitate good decision-making and risk management.
- Provide technical leadership in the area of project scheduling.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Create and maintain Integrated Master Schedule/s
- Issue regular forecasts (7days, 2wk, 4wk look-ahead) as required
- Interface with relevant planning positions in functional areas
- Execute approved changes (scheduling scope) as required
- Regularly update active project schedules on the agreed cycle, typically issuing weekly
- Mentor and lead scheduling team - internal and sub-contractors
- Contribute to project reviews
- Develop new schedule options as required
- Identify schedule risk points and support PM in mitigation planning
- Actively contribute to a safety culture in projects that minimises the risk of injury and that fully meets internal requirements and external regulatory requirements.
- Give due consideration to personnel and process safety in project planning.
- Facilitate all project planning activities in cooperation with the design, construction, and commissioning teams. Including Cost planning, Schedule and resource planning, and Verification of progress; directly or indirectly
- Provide technical leadership in the area of project scheduling and controls.

- Excellent project scheduling skills
- Excellent competence in Primavera and MS Project packages.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build relationships, facilitate and influence, with good interpersonal skills
- Concise and effective data presentation
- Extraction and presentation of material to support data-driven decision-making.
- Sound time management skills and the ability to support multiple projects at the same time
- Superior problem-solving ability
- Project management experience focused on Scope, Time, Cost and Resource Management Knowledge Areas.
- Ability to adapt EVM methodology to available data.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Project Scheduler role preferably in a Greenfield industrial project experience from concept to closure.
- Brownfields industrial project experience.
- Demonstrated experience scheduling to Level 5 or better.
- Demonstrated experience in EVM
- Undergraduate Engineering qualification
- Project management systems experience
- Project Management certifications: PRINCE2, PMP, AIPM
- Industrial experience other than scheduling.
