Supply Chain Solutions Partner

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a **Supply Chain Solutions Partner** to lead supply chain and logistics improvement initiatives with our ALM (Australian Liquor Marketers) business, enabling ALM to champion successful independents and win in their markets.

This is a rare opportunity to become a supply chain leader in the Australian Liquor industry, working with the ALM team, suppliers and retailers to define and implement new or improved supply chain capabilities, optimise the end-to-end supply chain and establish the most efficient routes to market within the broader Metcash network.

**What you’ll do**
- Work with a team of passionate supply chain professionals to identify supply chain and logistics improvement initiatives that support ALM’s business strategy.
- Partner with stakeholders, including ALM Merchandising and ALM State teams, to assess and evaluate scenarios for new customers, suppliers, network enhancements, productivity improvements, and logistics flow changes.
- Foster positive partnerships and build trust within each state, nationally, and with suppliers to influence the best outcomes for ALM.
- Develop solutions for network optimization, including scenario identification and modelling, financial viability assessment, and business recommendations.
- Conduct robust data analysis, process evaluation, and business analysis to assess the cost and benefit impact of proposed scenarios and changes.
- Support commercial teams in developing business cases for initiatives.
- Manage key initiatives, including defining project milestones, change management plans, resource allocation, and successful project execution.
- Contribute to the development of Supply Chain Strategy for the Metcash group.
- Provide thought leadership on leading practices, industry trends, and competitor capabilities.

**What you’ll bring**
- Preferred degree qualification in Logistics, Commercial, or a related discipline.
- Strong business analysis skills, process mapping, and improvement methodology.
- Proven leadership, relationship building, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience in logistics/supply chain within liquor supplier, FMCG, 3PL or logistics consulting, in an operations or account management role.
- Prior experience in logistics operations and exposure to network optimization, including activity-based costing, transport, and network modeling.
- Ability to articulate commercial proposals and develop business cases for change.
- Capability to lead cross-functional teams at all levels of the business.
- Proficient in advanced MS Excel and possess strong numerical skills.
