**Position Information**:
Chatswood High School is situated in Chatswood, on Sydney's north shore. Students benefit and thrive from a diverse and differentiated curriculum designed to maximise every student’s potential. The forecast 2025 population for 7-12 is 2200 students, with 84% of our students from non-English-speaking backgrounds representing a wide variety of cultural groups. An emphasis on inclusivity and celebrating the differences throughout the student population strengthens the school community. Two Aboriginal students are enrolled at the school.
The school has a culture of high expectations and delivers quality learning programs that address the needs of all learners. These include an academically selective stream and a Support Unit of four classes. The school has strong positive links with the community. There is a proud tradition of achievement in the creative and performing arts and sports, outstanding established programs in music, and the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities. There is an active Parent and Citizens Association and Student Representative Council that contribute to the inclusive culture that supports all students to thrive.

Demonstrated capacity to inspire and model highly effective educational practices and continuous improvement in the current and future climate of educational trends and change while ensuring the wellbeing of staff, students and community
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
