**About Office of the Provost**
Led by the Provost, the Office of the Provost supports achievement of the vision and objectives for education and community contained in the Advancing Melbourne strategy. The Office of the Provost portfolio sits alongside other divisions (Research, International, Strategy & Culture) within Chancellery.

**About the Role**
As the Executive Assistant, you will provide outstanding, intuitive and astute administrative, secretarial and executive support to the Office of the Provost. You will enable the Provost to function effectively, having a positive impact on integral strategies and initiatives, including Education and the Student Experience, Indigenous, People and Community, Diversity and Inclusion and Respect at Melbourne. With exposure to a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders, this is an excellent opportunity within the Chancellery.

In a typical week at work, you may:

- Provide high level administrative support to ensure the efficient running of the day-to
- day activities for Provost through expert diary management, reviewing and organising meetings and travel arrangements, managing financial transactions and identifying issues that may impact on the activities
- Develop itineraries, plan logistics, conference registrations and travel bookings in line with University policies and procedures with attention to detail
- Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing requests and correspondence ensuring that reports, business papers and correspondence are dealt with efficiently and promptly

**About You**
You will exercise a high level of confidentiality, have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills. You will be flexible and able to respond to changing priorities both independently and collaboratively within the team. With strong attention to detail and a high level of initiative and drive, you will formulate, develop and implement new ideas and process improvements.

You will also have:

- Substantial experience in delivering a full range of high-level administrative and executive support to senior executive staff
- Proven capacity and confidence to deal with a diverse range of clients at all levels internally and externally with tact and discretion
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to draft high quality documentation, including the ability to present information clearly in writing and in person
