**About the Role**
The Executive Officer plays a critical role in providing high-level support to the Associate Provost and the Indigenous Studies Unit, ensuring efficient office workflows and effective operations. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including drafting responses, preparing reports and papers, managing high-level committees, demonstrating excellent organisational skills, and exercising discretion in dealing with sensitive matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare reports, correspondence, briefing notes, and presentations for the Provost and Executive Director.
- Provide project and operational support within the Office of the Associate Provost and Indigenous Studies Unit team, coordinating projects, managing financial transactions, and establishing effective filing and database systems.
- Offer executive support to several committees, meetings, and working groups, managing agendas, distributing papers, preparing draft minutes, and ensuring follow-up actions are executed.
- Manage diaries, plan critical events, and coordinate projects.
**Who We Are Looking For**
You will showcase high-level writing and organisational skills in addition to your sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters. You will demonstrate experience in collaborative work, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to contribute to process improvements.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated high-level writing skills, adaptable across various purposes, audiences, and styles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- High-level judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
