Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) is responsible for delivering an integrated and consistent approach to the Group's marketing, brand, external and internal affairs, communications and sustainability.

Corporate Affairs is comprised of Communications, Media, and Government & Industry Affairs. Our purpose is to earn trust by building advocacy. We do this through renewing our brand and reputation with our stakeholders, engaging internal and external stakeholders to inspire advocacy and deliver trusted insights to inform decisions. This will achieve our Corporate Affairs ambition to champion a purpose-led CBA.

This role works within the CEO & Corporate Communications team in Corporate Affairs to help manage communications for the Chief Operations Office function.

**Do work that matters**

As an **Executive Manager**within the Marketing & Corporate Affairs team, you will support the renewal of our brand and reputation. You will help develop and evolve our corporate narrative to demonstrate the impact we are making as a business.

You will lead, develop and implement proactive, impactful and cohesive communications plans to protect and enhance the Group's reputation.

You will work closely with the Chief Operations Office to deliver proactive, impactful and cohesive communications plans to protect and enhance the Group's reputation. You will support Group Executives and other key business stakeholders on external and internal communications planning and delivery.

Responsibilities;
- Lead, develop and implement proactive, impactful and communications and corporate affairs strategies to renew the Group's brand and reputation, with a particular focus on people engagement, customer advocacy and operations.
- Provide strategic communication planning, advice and recommendations to the Chief Operations Officer and the Chief Operations Office senior leadership team, including plans and activities to engage key stakeholder groups.
- Mitigate potential reputational damage to the Group through strong issues identification and management in areas of responsibility. Oversee the preparation of responses to significant issues, related to the COO.
- Lead, develop and implement internal communications, employee engagement and culture communications and events to align and engage employees with the Bank and CCO.
- Develop close working relationships between Corporate Affairs teams in each of CBA's core business units to align communication to all stakeholders to drive greater impact.
- Provide insights and informed advice to the business on communications, stakeholder engagement and the external operating environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders in areas of responsibility.
- Lead, develop and coach team members.
- Establish key performance indicators and reporting relating to communications activities to drive and track performance.
- Risk management: Effective role modelling and leadership of risk culture.
- Adhere to the **Code of Conduct**. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.

**We're interested in hearing from people who have**
- Track-record in developing, implementing and delivering internal and external communication campaigns and activities a large national or international business. Experience in listed, issues-rich and highly regulated environment preferred.
- Passion and demonstrated experience in leading large-scale internal communications, people and culture communications programs.
- Strong experience in managing and advising on major corporate and reputational issues.
- Strong business acumen combined with exceptional verbal and written communication capability.
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams within complex business environments.
