**About us**
Rabobank is the world’s leading specialist in food and agribusiness banking. One of our key strengths lies in our people who have a deep understanding of agriculture and are committed to adding long-term value for clients. Our commitment to our employees and clients is at the heart of everything we do.
**About the role**
The GM Corporate Affairs sits within Rabobank Australia & New Zealand Group (RANZG) and reports to the Group Executive, HR and Corporate Affairs. The role indirectly reports to the Global CCA function, to both the Global Director of Communication and Global Head of Public Affairs.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Strategically manage key stakeholder relations across employee, media, government and public stakeholder groups in Australia and New Zealand
- Design and implement specific internal, media and government affairs strategies, leading and developing each functional team
- Protect and enhance the bank’s reputation, providing strategic guidance and communication support cross functionally to Legal, HR, Marketing, Strategy and Change, CSR/Sustainability/ Country Banking, RaboDirect and Wholesale businesses.
- Maintain a single view of external stakeholders spanning government and public groups (excluding customers), and implement plans to proactively develop key relationships
- Lead the bank’s communication response to all crisis and issues management
- Monitor and analyse political developments to advise the Executive team and Senior Leaders on strategies to respond to public policy. The role is the single point of contact into the bank for key government officials and agencies, and directly works with and represents the bank in relevant external meetings, e.g. government affairs briefings with the Australian Bankers Association
**To be successful in the role, you will have**:
- Proven experience in a senior Corporate Affairs role; ideally covering internal and external communications as well as media and government relationship management
- Managed and developed teams operating across a number of disciplines
- Knowledge and understanding of the banking and financial services industry and experience in being the company spokesperson
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to build and grow professional relationships across a broad range of key stakeholders
A qualification in a related discipline as well as knowledge of the agriculture and agribusiness across Australia and New Zealand would also be advantageous but not critical to success in the role
**Our Values, Vision and Mission**

Our great working conditions, broad learning and development programmes and the opportunity to work together for the greater good are reasons why our employees love working here. - An inclusive Parental Leave policy that supports you and your family while giving you the freedom and flexibility to enjoy this special time (Primary carer up-to 14 weeks paid leave)

- Rabobank recognises that employees need to protect their financial wellbeing, in the event of serious illness, injury, or even death. Rabobank provides eligible permanent employees with employer-funded Death, Temporary & Permanent Disability (TPD) and Income Protection Insurance.
