This position is responsible for overseeing and optimising all aspects of delivery of services across all requirements for Supply Support (SS), Customer Services (CS) and Distribution Services (DS), ensuring efficient inventory management, reliable and compliant supply chain processes, and exceptional customer service.
As a senior leader, the position requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and effective team leadership providing contract governance and compliance to reporting and performance measures.
About the role:
- Provide enterprise-level leadership across all operational functions related to the Statement of Work Detailed Service Descriptions, ensuring alignment with national strategic objectives and organizational goals.- Champion a culture of safety and compliance, embedding best practices aligned to quality, chain of responsibility, and governance requirements.- Lead in the execution of contractual obligations, delivering excellence in service delivery while adhering to performance metrics and financial objectives.- Monitor and manage inventory within the region, ensuring operational continuity and adherence to service standards.- Identify and implement operational improvements and innovative practices to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and enhanced service delivery.- Develop and oversee policies and procedures that foster continuous growth and improvement across the network.- Spearhead training programs and development initiatives to elevate team capability and maintain alignment with quality standards.- Coordinate activities to meet expected outcomes under the organizational RACI matrix, ensuring compliance with governance structures within the contract.- Contribute to long-term strategic planning, aligning regional operations with national defence and logístical objectives.- Collaborate with Commercial/Finance teams to ensure financial targets and performance measurements are achieved effectively.- Oversee facility and site security protocols, guaranteeing robust systems to safeguard products, processes, and personnel.- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies that ensure operational resilience and continuity.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams across various operational settings with a strong emphasis on fostering a culture of safety, precision, and accountability. Skilled in implementing strategic initiatives and overseeing warehouse operations with a focus on efficiency and innovation.- Track record of delivering exceptional customer service while leading teams to proactively address challenges and ensure timely resolution of issues.- Adept at conducting comprehensive operational reviews and delivering detailed financial reports to support strategic decision-making.- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field- Eligibility for obtaining a Baseline or NV1 security clearance (preferrable if already possess Baseline or NV1 and above)- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for an Australian AGSVA Defence security clearance- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing operations and Warehouse Management Systems.
