**About Us**

Due to internal promotion, we are seeking a dynamic **Retail Engagement Specialist** based in Gepps Cross, SA on part time basis (3 days per week). As a trusted adviser and business partner to retailers, you will drive retailer adoption then shopper usage of Metcash-led digital programs.

This role is a key point of contact in the State team for retailers and ASMs, acting as expert support and a conduit to the Metcash national Digital Marketing & Retailer Engagement teams.

The continual education and knowledge growth of retailers into the digital environment is vital and within this role key outputs will be adoption of retailers to the Metcash-Led digital programmes, educating retailers on the benefits of these programmes to their business, grow & retain shoppers to the programmes, increase usage with shoppers.

This role has a direct reporting line into the Retail Implementation Manager.

**What you’ll do**

**Build relationships & support retailers to adopt then execute successful digital programmes**
- Build and develop relationships with retailers, working with ASMs as the expert go-to point of contact in the state team for digital marketing expertise.
- Work with the National Onboarding team to build pipeline and support retailer implementation of the IGA Rewards and Shop Online Retailer Success programs.

**Development of a State Digital Strategy to acquire, grow and retail shoppers, ultimately enhancing the shopper experience.**
- To grow sales and retail share through the development of innovative and disruptive digital based offers, via a digital promotional programme with the outcome to increase store-based offers for consumers.
- Develop an additional income stream for the buyers, selling digital packages for mainstream events, involving state buyers to promote best offers available (including local & targeted offers)

**Create, Implement, and liaise with The State Area Managers.**
- Develop strategies for the ASM’s to implement to enhance Digital efficiency amongst retailers.
- Support the communications between ASM’s and retailers.

**Create Digital Educational support and interactions.**
- Provide simple to use programs and offers.
- Update the digital environmental changes as they occur.

**What you’ll bring**
- Experience in digital platforms, loyalty marketing or eCommerce background
- Experience of sales and/or marketing, preferably in the retail supermarket sector
- Ability to convince, persuade, and close deals
- Hands on experience implementing, managing and optimising performance in various digital channels
- Ability to create insights from data to inform retail marketing and operations decision-making
