**THE OPPORTUNITY**

As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process for new and existing contracts and supply agreements. This is an exciting newly created opportunity with the ability to have a genuine impact in the work you will do.

Based at our corporate office in Gepps Cross, reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, this role is integral for undertaking negotiations or tendering with suppliers and ensuring contracts are in place for all major material groups.

In this position you will be responsible for developing and working with key supply partners in all categories to manage costs and drive efficiencies or savings across the network of Stratco sites and affiliates. You will lead and be involved in various projects relating to introduction of new products and ranges, discontinuation, data maintenance, tendering processes, contract management, resolution of supply issues and sourcing of new materials and continuous improvement. You will also provide guidance on best practices and process improvements supporting other departments with tenders and negotiations as required.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, purchasing, buying, logistics or project management
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics would be advantageous
- Proven ability to work across the end-to-end supply chain
- ERP systems proficiency - experience with Oracle, JDE, SAP or similar is essential
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office including demonstrated ability in Excel
- Advanced problem-solving capability, with the ability to manage time and competing priorities
- An innate set of skills in negotiation, working collaboratively and developing strong relationships with suppliers, executive and senior management
- Exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated management of a small team and ability to develop capabilities
