**The Role**
We are seeking a Payroll Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day administration of the HIA Apprentice payroll and recruitment processes, for approximately 900 employees.
**Key responsibilities for this role include**:
- Accurate and timely processing of weekly wages and related compliance in the end-to-end processing of HIA Apprentices national payroll;
- Timely creation of weekly host invoicing;
- High level of customer service in interactions with apprentices, hosts and the broader apprentice team.
**The ideal applicant will have the qualities of**:
- Previous payroll processing experience;
- Experience with the Aurion payroll system (desirable);
- A strong understanding of employment conditions;
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Well-developed Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel;
- Ability to work well under pressure with competing priorities;
- Problem solving and reconciliation skills;
- Ability to develop relationships and build trust with apprentices, hosts and regional staff;
- Strong customer service focus;
- Ability to use initiative and a strong attention to detail;
- Absolute discretion.
