**About the Role**
Reporting to Murrup Barak’s Team Leader Indigenous Student Success, you will work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prospective students, communities, and families to provide information and support to start studying at the University.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and answering enquiries on a day-to-day basis and making appropriate referrals.
- Coordinating and delivering outreach and recruitment activities in targeted schools across Australia and on campus.
- Organising on-campus event management for camps and open day activities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
**Who we are looking for**
We’re looking for innovators to join our supportive team and work on solutions to problems in a complex and dynamic environment. You will be able to utilise your strong interpersonal skills to work and engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and take initiative to roll out innovating programs designed to increase student participation.
You will also have:
- Completion of a degree or equivalent combination of relevant training and subsequent employment experience.
- Relevant knowledge and understanding of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and demonstrated understanding of the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation and engagement in education.
- Experience in planning, developing, and implementing events and activities designed for student engagement. Proven ability to provide reports on the progress of activities.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of case management and student services with the ability to provide progress reports.

Murrup Barak is the University of Melbourne’s Indigenous Student Centre. We support future students and families, as well as the community of over 500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying across undergraduate and graduate degrees.
