About the opportunity
The APJ BDR Manager will lead the regional BDR team with a focus on pipeline generation, sales alignment, and career development. This role will emphasize building high-quality sales opportunities and preparing BDRs for future quota-carrying roles. Unlike the previous marketing-focused role, this position is centered on sales pipeline contribution and people development.
What you’ll get to do
- Drive outbound pipeline generation aligned to regional sales priorities.
- Partner with APJ Sales Leadership to define account coverage, territory planning, and pipeline goals.
- Coach, mentor, and develop BDRs into future sellers, focusing on skills development and career progression.
- Implement and optimize prospecting cadences, tools, and messaging for effective outbound activity.
- Own BDR pipeline reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing to ensure demand-gen efforts convert into qualified pipeline.
**Success Metrics**:
- Net-new pipeline created by APJ BDRs.
- Conversion rates from qualified leads to opportunities.
- BDR promotion and career progression rates.
- Team attainment vs. pipeline goals.
Skills and experience we value
- 4-8 years of B2B sales, revenue development, or inside sales experience, with proven leadership across multi-country or regional teams
- Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing sales/revenue development teams, with strong track record of achieving targets
- Experience in software and SaaS sales (HCM/HRIS experience preferred)
- Expertise in inbound and outbound prospecting, with knowledge of both established and emerging tactics
- Familiarity with managing Account Development Representatives focused on strategic/enterprise accounts
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies and process optimization

- Experience leveraging data to drive performance, process improvements, and strategy adjustments
- Understanding of marketing and sales technology stacks, including tools commonly used by revenue development teams
- Deep knowledge of go-to-market processes and the buyer journey handoffs (marketing → RDRs → sales)
- Cultural awareness and ability to adapt leadership approach across diverse APJ markets
- High drive for achievement with a consistent record of exceeding pipeline and revenue contribution targets
