**Customer Service Representative - Driver Tester Relief Pool**
**SNSW Grade 5**
**Temporary Contract Full Time up to 12 months**
**Location: Sydney Metro**

Service NSW is expanding our strong team of Driver Testers. If you are highly motivated and passionate about providing excellent customer service, we want to hear from you.

Driver Testers facilitate a variety of customer transactions, with their primary responsibility being the evaluation of applicants for new or renewed licences to make sure they meet the required standards to be safe drivers.

These roles are in our Driver Testing Relief Pool team, which consists of moving between Service Centres and Temporary Sites in the Sydney metropolitan area.

**To be a successful Driver Tester you will be able to demonstrate**:

- A calm nature and ability to quickly identify and mitigate risks
- Flexibility and a willingness to travel at short notice in the Sydney metropolitan area
- Ability to quickly establish rapport and understand different customer needs, modifying your approach accordingly
- Effective communication skills to provide both positive and negative feedback to driving test applicants
- Hold an unrestricted Australian driver’s licence (excluding a provisional or learners licence);
- Unrestricted licence, held for minimum three years
- Ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Have a satisfactory driving record
- Have the ability to undertake and successfully complete relevant driver knowledge test and driving test;
- the
**instructor** knowledge test, in English and without interpreter assistance (there are 90 questions in this knowledge test)
- the
**instructor** driving test (manual vehicle) with 95% pass rate
- Have the potential to successfully complete job specific training over 3 intensive stages up to 10 day blocks (2 x 5 day sessions), including in car evaluations

**Salary**

Service NSW Grade 5 include a base salary range of $81,475 - $85,625, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

**Hours of work**

Service Centre operating hours vary between locations. You can check the opening hours for each Service Centre here Find a Service NSW location.

The Service NSW Award hours are 6:30am - 7:30pm (Monday to Friday) and 7:30am - 3:30pm (Saturdays). In some situations, you may be required to work during these hours.
