The Role

We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Service Manager to lead our after-sales service team. This is a full-time leadership position reporting directly to the General Manager. You’ll oversee all service operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain our reputation for quality and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of service technicians and administrators
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, and quality control of all service and warranty repairs
- Manage customer communications - from booking to post-service follow-up
- Coordinate with parts and procurement to ensure timely availability of components
- Implement and maintain service standards, SOPs, and safety protocols
- Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Monitor KPIs including turnaround times, customer satisfaction (CSAT), and first-time fix rates
- Conduct regular team training on technical updates, product knowledge, and customer service
- Manage service budgets, invoicing, and cost control
- Liaise with production and design teams to provide feedback on product improvements
- Ensure compliance with Australian Consumer Law, warranty obligations, and industry standards

About You
- Proven experience in service management within the caravan, RV, automotive, or heavy vehicle industry
- Strong technical understanding of off-road caravan systems (electrical, plumbing, chassis, suspension, appliances)
- Leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Exceptional customer service ethos with a calm, solution-focused approach
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with service management software (Mechanics Desk)
- Trade qualification (desirable but not essential) - e.g., Automotive, Electrical, or Mechanical
- Current driver’s license (Forklift license advantageous)
