riental Merchant is a leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian groceries, supplying supermarkets with brands that are familiar throughout Asia Pacific. We have a presence nationally, as well as an international portfolio in New Zealand, Europe, Canada, Japan and the UK.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Marketing Senior Executive to be based at our Head Quarters in Mulgrave.

**The role**:
Support the planning and development of brand footprint/architecture, product development roadmap and brand positioning for assigned brands and new product line up
Analysing and reviewing brand’s portfolio, new product extension and channel mix for future expansion plans
Conduct and leverage market research findings to inform decision-making in formulating brand strategies
Assist in brand communication planning and execution of advertising campaigns with external working partners such as creative and media agencies
Develop and prepare briefs for new packaging design, new product development and advertising campaigns, and assist in implementing and follow up of the new activities
Conduct market visits to monitor and report competitive activities and own brand performance and pricing benchmarking at store level
Liaise with internal stakeholders such as sales and trade marketing team to implement sales promotions

**What You'll Need to be successful**:
Tertiary Qualification in either business/marketing or media communication
At least 2 years of marketing communication/event management experience
Proven experience in the planning and development of proposal for promotion, events, sponsorship, as well as implementing on-ground campaigns
Strong English verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build business relationships and networking
Proactive attitude, readiness to learn and willingness to get involved in all aspects of your role
Multi-task, able to prioritize and great attention to detail
Team work and a passion to drive positive outcomes
