Hi, we’re Eva And we’re here to fill your home with thoughtful furniture and homewares. With our laser focus on design and customer-centricity, we're accelerating towards becoming Australia’s leading furniture company and helping everyone be more ‘Thoughtful Everyday’. We know you’ll probably check out our Instagram to gauge who we are (it's ok, I would too).

**What’s the gist?**

You are a problem solver. You love creating, resolving and refining.

As the Product Development Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Design, Head of Product & Co-Founders to develop our unique market-leading furniture products. You’ll constantly challenge the boundaries of all things design and engineering and play a huge impact in helping create the future of no-tool premium assembly products in Australia. This fulfils our promise of delivering quality, flat pack furniture that delight our customers.

Managing a team of highly skilled product developers, you’ll also have the opportunity to flex your leadership and management skills, empowering the team to bring our Eva designs to life by hitting key deadlines and outcomes for releases. The challenge: ensure every product is 100% ready for mass production, and meeting customers needs, while looking for ways to continuously improve our products post-release.

Working closely with our suppliers, you will lead product development from prototype to mass production. Additionally, managing our quality control plan will sit with your team, so you’ll naturally love getting into the detail and fixing product issues as they arise.

This is a tightly held role so if you live and breathe product design and development, prefer being part of a small team with significant autonomy, and enjoy a creative environment, this could be the once-in-a-lifetime role for you.

A day in the life looks like this:
**Concept Design**
- Be the interface between Design and Product Development, helping our Design team understand what is feasible from a engineering and manufacturing perspective
- Provide technical support to the Design Team during early concept development

**Product Development**
- Manage and take ownership of our product development pipeline, ensuring team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work with our suppliers to develop our unique market-leading products.
- Oversee and own all aspects of the Product Development process from prototype to golden sample.
- Manage, lead and coach Product Development Team, including providing regular updates on PD projects to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Lead the production of the relevant documentation required by the manufacturer to produce golden sample and first-batch mass-manufacture, which may include Renders, SOP’s, technical drawings and QC documentation.
- Lead the sourcing components, materials, finishes, hardware and new construction methods for all products in development
- Drive and implement continuous improvements by leading our quality control plan (from golden sample, to 1st batch and all ongoing mass manufacturing) through utilising customer and user feedback, and working directly with suppliers to help them understand Eva’s high quality standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders so the relevant departments are consulted where necessary during the Product Development process.
- Ensure the project meets timeline, design and budget.
- Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain and Customer Support to release new products to market
- Ensure product adheres to Eva's design system and DNA

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5-year full time experience as a product developer, sourcing, manufacturing or production in furniture or homewares with experience liaising with overseas suppliers on a day-to-day basis
- 2-years experiencing managing a team, and working cross-functionally at a high level with proven experience to manage stakeholders on complex PD projects to achieve high quality outcomes
- Extensive knowledge of furniture construction and management
- An active problem solver and resourceful.
- Exceptional people leadership and management skills
- High attention to detail
- Extremely organised and data-driven
- Proven ability to identify & document product requirements via research and product reviews.
- Mastery of the 3D modelling & rendering (experience with Fusion 360 and Blender preferred)
- Comfortable with occasional overseas travel to our suppliers (every 3-6 months depending on product roadmaps)

**Benefits**
