Executive Manager, Business Controls

**How will I help?**

This role plays a leadership role in driving, implementing, and managing risk management and monitoring obligations across CTO, Consumer and Business Division, supporting consistent implementation, and embedding of risk management frameworks, policies and controls.

Importantly, the role is also responsible for collaborating and advising key stakeholders on all matters risk and control, developing pragmatic solutions to risk and control problems through to end-to-end implementation.

It is an expectation of this role to demonstrate strong leadership, and role model positive risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs.

Responsibilities include:

- Lead a team of risk professionals, ensuring the divisional and business risk management frameworks, metrics, priorities and strategies are aligned to the Groups risk frameworks, strategy, and appetite.
- Partner with key senior stakeholders to identify and enable more efficient and effective risk practices in the business.
- Provide senior risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, actioning and remediation of risk issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
- Support the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness and ownership of risk throughout the business.
- Provide risk expertise to support the business with regulatory requests and remediation.
- Support the business in the delivery of remediation programs.
- Provide insights and reporting for risk forums and board risk committees.

**What do I need?**

10 + years of experience in banking / financial services / risk assessment experience as well as tertiary and industry qualifications in risk, compliance, or business. In addition to this, the successful leader will possess outstanding skills in building relationships, influencing & negotiating and a customer and business focused mindset. An ability to achieve objectives in a changing environment as well as risk culture development / execution is of equal importance.
