Immediate Start - Long Term Contract initially, Genuine View-to-Perm - Internals Controls - Risk - Business Partnering - Multinational Industry-Leader - Circa $180,000 - $200,000 + Super **About The Role** An exciting immediate start role with a industry-leading Services-based organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, you will be responsible for the local internal control system (ICS) framework, leading and creating the business in the improvement of the overall control environment to respond to existing and emerging risks. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organisation to better understand business processes, identify control gaps and recommend an adequate remediation plan. Initially this will be a long-term contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity genuine view for this role to be transitioned into permanency following this period. **Duties** Reporting into the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Create and review procedures and processes to meet internal control requirements; - Assess the overall effectiveness of key controls against industry best practices - Assess the design, effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls - Conduct root cause analysis to identify contributing factors to issues identified - Recommend improvements to the overall risk management and control practices - Promote awareness on compliance issues within the business unit - Actively prepare and participate in Control training sessions in an effort to promote awareness of best practice compliance **The Successful Applicant Will Have** Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy being "hands-on" with the work and have worked in a large & complex organisation previously.
