In partnership with the Australia Defence Force, we are seeking a **Regional Environmental Coordinator** to join us on a full-time basis at **Simpson Barracks** defence base in Yallambie.

The primary purpose of the role is to coordinate and audit tasks including lang management works, Arboriculture, Horticulture, and fire mitigation activities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Day to day coordination of programmed land management, horticulture and arboriculture works. This includes the management and coordination of internal staff and subcontractors.
- Overseeing all operations and team management
- Be responsible to themselves and everyone else in their work team in executing and improving sustainable work practices in terms of OHS&E
- Communicate with their Coordinator, Business managers, and environments team to achieve maximum benefit and output.
- Advise coordinator of any resourcing issue and ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to its optimum standard
- Assist in data collection and report writing of all land management activities across the zone

**Skills and Experience**:

- Cert III in Arboriculture preferred
- Experience in the Implementation of Land Management, Tree Risk Management and Bushfire Management plans
- Aptitude for Vegetation Management (Arboriculture, Horticulture, Land Management)
- Tertiary qualification (i.e. minimum certificate III) in Conservation land Management or equivalent field
- Fire Crew Leader
- Carries out all skills at Levels 2, 3 and 4 as required without the need for supervision and Level 1 skills with minimum supervision including QA and work procedures.
- Fully understands the importance of attention to detail across all areas and is aware of necessary time pressures relating to certain jobs/programs.

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
