**About the role**
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia’s well known agriculture, manufacturing and logistics brands. The role has a key focus to maintain the overall Environment compliance and programs across their sites in the southern states.

Reporting into the Environment Manager you will be instrumental in ensuring the management and maintenance of the company’s environmental management system, ensuring compliance.

More specifically this will include:

- Provide support for day to day technical and compliance issues and requirements in line with operational and environmental plans and to optimise compliance, implement monitoring programs and other objectives
- Assist as required with environmental related projects and programs across the business, to ensure that these projects are monitored, reported, reviewed and delivered on time and on budget and in accordance with relevant plans
- Provide input in relation to monitoring, reporting, assessment and compliance associated with risks, procedures, and standards through all work processes throughout the business
- Engage and educate/train employees as required in relation to corporate environmental and compliance obligations and procedures
- Assist with preparation of internal and external environmental and regulatory reports
- Provide ad-hoc administrative support as requested

This role can be based in regional VIC or Melbourne.

**About Success**
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental science / engineering or applied science
- Demonstrated working knowledge of environmental legislation, practices and procedures
- Proven experience in site inspections, and internal audits.
- Experience effectively influencing and building internal and external working relationships
- Proven experience in business administration or clerical work
- Demonstrated strong computer skills and a working knowledge of office software packages
