Are you a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) professional with a passion for excellence, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to quality assurance? We are looking for a NDT Level 3/Technical Lead to join our dynamic team and support our network of NDT technicians across multiple locations in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Region.
This role will report directly to the Executive General manager of the Industry Division and is a senior position.
Some travel will be required to discharge responsibilities under this role.
**This position can be based in Brisbane, Newcastle/Sydney or Perth.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**National RSO**: As the Responsible Level 3 in the organization, you will ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including ARPANSA's guidelines for the Radiation Safety Officer role. This will involve:
Implementing and maintaining radiation safety policies and procedures.
Overseeing the safe use of ionizing radiation sources in NDT activities and ensuring compliance with ARPANSA's radiation safety standards.
Liaising with ARPANSA and regulatory bodies to ensure the company's compliance with all relevant radiation safety regulations.
Managing radiation safety training programs and ensuring that personnel are properly trained and certified as per ARPANSA requirements.
**NDT Level 3/Technical Lead**:
In line with ISO9712 & 17025 requirements:
(a) Take responsibility for our NATA accredited facilities and staff
(b) establish, review and validate NDT instructions and procedures
(c) interpret standards, codes, specifications and procedures
(e) carry out and supervise tasks ; and
(f) provide technical guidance for NDT personnel.
**Project Management**:
Provide support to project teams in the establishment, and oversight of technical and quality process whilst mobilising and demobilising from projects.
**Training**: Develop, implement and oversee training programs for NDT personnel.
Ensure that staff are adequately trained and certified in accordance with applicable standards.
**Technology Integration**: Stay current with emerging NDT technologies and ensure the organization is up to date with the latest advancements. Identify opportunities to incorporate new technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
**Document Control**: Oversee the management of NDT-related documents, reports, and records to ensure they are organized, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
**Essential Qualifications**:
Level 3 NDT certification in accordance with ISO9712 standards or a combination of Level 3 and Level 2 (Capacity & Desire to obtain L3).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in NDT, with a strong background in various NDT methods.
Proven experience as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance and compliance with industry standards.
Experience in designing and implementing NDT training programs.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
