Join the Data#3 internal technology team to protect our critical systems, supporting our success as an ASX200 technology company headquartered in Brisbane. This hands-on role offers a great opportunity to manage security incidents, analyse risks and vulnerabilities, work with our SOC, and on security projects.

The ideal candidate will have security experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at once.

In this role you will:

  • Identify and assess security opportunities and incidents, proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain SIEM and SOC solutions.
  • Determine security requirements for products and applications.
  • Develop risk treatment processes, procedures, automation scripts, and documentation.
  • Advise Data#3 Operations on security implications.
  • Research emerging threats and evaluate new technologies to enhance security.

What experience will I need?

  • 2-3 years of technical experience in an IT support environment with direct experience resolving Information or Cyber Security issues
  • Proficiency in threat modelling and risk assessment
  • Technical expertise in security technologies such as SIEMs, EDR, firewalls, and IPS
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for interactions at all levels
  • Knowledgeable in Windows OS, office, and cloud applications
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities with attention to detail
  • Tertiary qualifications in information systems, computer science, information security
  • Knowledge of Risk & Security Standards – e.g. ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL
  • Industry security certifications (CEH, CISM, CISSP or CCNA) will be highly regarded.
