As the business continues to grow and evolve, the opportunity has arisen for a highly capable and commercial Shared Services Manager to join their team.
**Role Purpose**:
To be the first point of contact for Shared Service Functions, which incorporates AR, AP, Payroll, and Sales Support, on all technical and accounting related issues. As the Manager of this function, you will foster and manage a high performing and collaborative customer focused Shared Service Team (SST), ensuring it is operating in the most efficient and effective manner across the Australian and New Zealand businesses.
**Main Role & Activities**:
**This is a hands-on role and the Shared Service Manager is expected to**:
- Manage the Accounts Receivable function ensuring KPIs are achieved whilst supporting and driving success of the Credit Team;
- Manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring KPIs are achieved and supporting and driving continuous improvement;
- Manage the payroll team, ensuring timely and accurate execution and compliance with all legislative requirements;
- Manage the Sales Support teams;
- Provide senior accounting support and leadership to all relevant areas within the SST;
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis of related transactions as required;
- Proactively identify and deliver process improvement within the individual teams by monitoring risks and opportunities and proposing corrective action with consideration of broader business requirements. Additionally, implement process improvement initiatives that improve efficiencies with a focus on reducing costs;
- Drive training and development, proactively supporting talent progression and growth within the team, and encourage collaboration amongst the wider team;
- Promote a culture of customer-centered service delivery and improvement to ensure customer needs, expectations are met;
- Foster a culture of cross collaboration between the SS Teams, with a focus on overall business success;
- Manage the operational and commercial relationship with all shared services customers and external service providers, including planning and developing SSC Communication;
- Work with IT and the Systems & Project Accountant to ensure systems are maintained to support the operation of the SST;
- Become a superuser of all systems;
- Promptly troubleshoot operational issues as they arise;** and**:
- Assist in any other business support initiatives as directed by the Financial Controller or Commercial Manager.
**Qualification expectations**:
- Accounting qualified with experience in a senior shared services role within a medium to large dynamic organization.
**Key Working Experience**:

**Minimum 5 years managerial experience, preferably within a large team.**
- Strong accounting knowledge, with an ability to juggle many diverse issues and projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team.
- Ability to delegate coupled with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage 360 degrees with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of Masterdata, spanning customers, pricing and products.
- Functional experience as an Individual Contributor within a similar support type function.
- Experience with process flow mapping and understanding how allsystems/processes/people fit together, with the ability to recommend and implement more efficient and effective ways of doing things
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Proven record of leading projects and achieving deliverables within deadlines.
- Experience within a complex business environment with high volumes of data.
