The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

**_ What you’ll be doing_**

The primary purpose of the Project Officer, Grants & Research Development is to coordinate, execute, implement and support the operations, monitoring and evaluation of the Cancer Institute's grant schemes and research development activities and to facilitate the effective delivery of programs and projects in line with Divisional and Institute objectives.

**_Essential requirements_**
- Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in an appropriate discipline such as health, public health or health promotion or equivalent and relevant professional experience and training.
- An understanding of the NSW and or federal health system including a knowledge of relevant trends, issues, policies and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver and meet project objectives and requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

**_ Pre-screening questions_**
- Please give an example of a project you have undertaken where you were responsible for monitoring project milestones and explain what tools you used to ensure that the project was meeting its milestones?
- Please describe your experience in grants administration (if any) and how to ensure that key principles of transparency, accountability and probity are embedded in the way grants are delivered.
