An exciting and unique opportunity within our Organisational Capability Team, which will be responsible for providing strategic direction to build the Leadership Capability and development pathway across Metcash.

Our objectives are to ensure leaders develop the key capabilities at each leadership transition. You will design and deploy leadership and talent development solutions, addressing internal data/insights as well as leveraging best in class research.

You will also play a key role in coaching and developing leaders aligned with our leadership development strategy.

**What you’ll do**
- Provide strategic advice on the Talent and Leadership strategy ensuring there is a clear connection to how this links to our Metcash desired culture
- Deliver on the agreed strategy and work with senior leaders and the broader People & Culture (P&C) team to execute quality outcomes & broader ownership
- Lead the Leadership & Talent Development team (including budget management), ensuring performance objectives are in place as well as development plans.
- Collaborate with P&C specialists and COEs who provide strategies, frameworks and programs in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver talent initiatives to assist in developing and retaining top talent
- Create and manage mentoring & sponsorship solutions
- Manage the delivery of leadership programs & team cohesion workshops (including the facilitation for senior teams)
- Provide 1:1 coaching to senior leaders on their development
- Utilise data and reports to consult on leadership approaches
- Adopt better practice and emerging trends to deliver contemporary leadership development programs and services
- Partnering with external vendors to deliver key initiatives and ensure quality standards are in place to monitor and measure desired outcomes
- End to end management of programs and initiatives, including change & communication plans

**What you’ll bring**
- Previous experience in a HR Leadership role
- Proven success in designing, delivering and implementing Leadership & Talent development strategies and solutions to support business priorities
- Previous experience with a number of Psychometric and assessment tools including LSI)
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles
- Passion for facilitation and coaching with senior level stakeholders
- Strategic mindset supported by a pragmatic approach
- Dynamic relationship building and influential skills, (including senior level stakeholders)
- External market knowledge of emerging and effective talent management and HR related trends and practices
- Degree qualification (HR or Business related) is desirable, but not essential
