As a scaling and progressive organisation, we are searching for a dynamic and people centric leader to drive operational excellence across Journey's talent function. This role is critical in delivering on our strategy to deliver "exceptional experience" for both internal and external stakeholders.

Who are we?

We are committed to creating a nurturing and welcoming environment for children, where safety, security, and a sense of home come first. Our approach to early childhood education is designed to inspire curiosity, spark creativity, and support every child's growth and development across our 42 centres in VIC, QLD, and NT — with more on the way.

Our approach in all that we do is underpinned by our values – Connection, Consideration and Communication – and sector leading employee value proposition.

The team

You'll be leading a team of four established Talent Acquisition Partners who draw upon a mix of sector, agency and internal talent experience. The team are passionate, collaborative, and dedicated to making a real difference to our services across the regions. Aspiring to "experts with credible influence", this is what they want:

"We're looking for a fun and energetic leader who can guide, support and celebrate wins with the us. We are eager to learn and grow, and you'll help us build our skills even further. Expect plenty of laughs, daily banter and a group that genuinely enjoys coming to work. Together we'll make great things happen"

What you'll be doing

You will work closely with the Head of People to help shape and implement a talent strategy, that can meet our expansion plans in a competitive talent market. Some key responsibilities:

Manage the team to deliver talent outcomes in line with the needs of the business

Access, track and report on key hiring metrics/tools to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement

Provide coaching, training and development opportunities to build recruitment capability and confidence in both the team and other stakeholders

Engage, review and manage relevant external relationships including agency, migration and systems suppliers

Ensure recruitment practices are compliant, consistent, streamlined, and deliver a positive people experience

Amplify our Employee Value Proposition through effective attraction mediums

Manage and monitor a talent budget to ensure cost-effective outcomes

What you'll bring

You are a collaborative and forward-thinking Talent Acquisition expert who inspires your team and drives operational excellence. With strong expertise in recruitment operations, process improvement, ATS optimisation and data-driven insights, you ensure our approach is both efficient and impactful. You would have:

4+ years in Talent Acquisition, including a successful track record in leading recruitment / talent teams

A background in servicing the childcare / early education sector with people solutions

An ability to manage priorities, improve processes, and deliver results

Strong analytical skills with experience in developing reports, building dashboards and turning data into actionable insights.

Apply solid problem-solving and process improvement capabilities with sound judgment to identify issues and contribute to effective solutions

High level of adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement with a proactive approach to learning and enhancing recruitment practices

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across internal and external stakeholders

Just a few of the benefits we offer

Enjoy a relaxed working environment with a competitive salary with bonus opportunities, flexible working arrangements (including WHF 2 days) and a paid day off on your birthday. You'll have convenient onsite parking, with easy access to public transport in Macquarie Park and thoughtful perks like anniversary gifts, branded merchandise, and exclusive retail and lifestyle discounts. Plus, our Employee Assistance Program is there to support your wellbeing, so you can thrive both at work and beyond.

This is your chance to step into a visible, impactful leadership role where you'll make a real difference – does it sound like your next role? Then, we'd love to hear from you
