**About the role**:
The purpose of this role is to lead the Partner Performance team to build and maintain high performing relationships with the Personal Injury Claims Underwritten (PICU) key suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for our people, customers and our business. This role ensures that suppliers deliver to their contractual commitments and that all partnerships are managed in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations, and Suncorp’s Procurement Policy, Outsourcing Policy and Supplier Management Framework.

**More specifically, you will**:

- Lead a team of Partner Performance Specialists to leverage supplier relationships to deliver on PICU’s strategic and performance objectives.
- Drive exceptional experiences for our customers when engaging with our panel suppliers, along with the achievement of contractual service, financial and risk performance metrics.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
- Articulates clear links between the team’s goals and strategy to provide meaning and purpose to work.
- Co-ordinate and deliver risk and governance activities relevant to partnering and procurement activities including materiality assessments, external party security assessments, privacy impact assessments, and contract management in line with Suncorp’s delegation of authority framework.
- Measure, monitor and report on supplier performance and contract management matters to business owners, stakeholders and committees.
- Focuses the team on understanding the unique and rapid changing needs of customers and makes customer experience a team priority, to improve advocacy, increase market share and customer experience.
- Work as part of and contribute to the culture of a strong cohesive leadership team to create the best outcomes for PII and Suncorp.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities for direct reports in line with career development plans and inspire them to do the same within their own teams as appropriate.
- Sets clear objectives and targets for the team linked to the strategy and tackles underperformance until it is resolved.
- Attract, coach, develop and manage diverse, flexible and distributed teams in an inclusive way, while showing genuine care in managing an environment of safety and wellbeing.
- Keeps things simple while driving innovation to achieve differentiation, continuous improvement and supporting teams to adapt quickly and readily to change.
- Considers and applies ‘smart’ risk management practices in all activities.
- Role model the Suncorp Code of Conduct and Compass behaviours and embed these across the team.

**About You**:

- Degree in law, business, commerce, supply chain management or related discipline - Mandatory
- Qualifications relevant to Personal Injury Insurance or Injury Management / Allied Health - Desired
- More than 5 years’ financial services experience mandatory together with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- More than 5 years’ experience in managing commercial partnerships and driving performance in contractual arrangements, balancing strategic relationships and business outcomes.
- 2 - 5 years’ leadership experience including experience in building new teams and building a high performing culture

**Key Capabilities**:

- Advanced contract and supply chain management, including the ability to draft and interpret contracts in order to drive and enhance contractual performance.
- Strong negotiation skills, financial / commercial acumen and seasoned business judgement.
- Proficient risk, compliance and governance capability to ensure compliance with internal and external obligations in relation to contract terms, partnering, procurement and delegation management.
- Good understanding of the insurance industry, including insurance products, market environment and customer segments and the end-to-end value chain
- Advanced analytical skills - ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships.
- Change management capability - ability to recognise, understand and support need for change and anticipated impact on both the team and self.
- Customer experience-focused - proven commitment to delivering a continually improving, quality, differentiated experience.
