Residential OHS Officer

**Your new role**

As the OHS Officer, you will be required to relocate and be given the opportunity to establish yourself within a community. Reporting directly into the OHS Manager and will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient OHS Support for operations and site Co-ordinators. There is a strong emphasis on minimising risks and demonstrating a commitment to the safety of employees by promoting safety as a core company values

Maintaining OHS administrative processes

Conducting OHS training

Effectively using a range of OHS tools and processes to implement programs and drive compliance

Monitoring the implementation of critical controls by conducting regular inspections of work areas (both operational and project)

Interacting and engaging with operational staff, supervisors with the implementation of OHS initiatives.

Focused on compliance monitoring

Encourages and supports others in adapting to change.

Helping with WHS regulatory reporting

Assisting in uploading and maintaining data in SkyTrust (Training records, incidents, hazards, actions, etc.)

Assisting the operations team in the development of standard operating procedures

Assisting in the development of OHS and operational training packages and material

Manage first aid, fire extinguisher servicing and stocks

Assist with induction management for both new starters and contractors.

Assist with alcohol breath testing for visitors and contractors, assist in random AOD testing.

Maintain site PPE stock levels and other safety related items (pre-start books, tags/tape etc.)

**What you'll need to succeed**

Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety

Previous experience as an OHS role within the mining industry

Exposure within training and assessing

Current C class WA driving licence

High levels of attention to detail, time management and organisational skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team

Exposure to OHS systems

Open to relocation
