The EDP is responsible for contributing to the design, preparation, planning and implementation of projects.
**Your new role**
- Manage the preparation, planning, organisation and implementation of a shared spaces project with the approved budget and in accordance with Council strategies under the supervision of the Economic Development Specialist.
- Manage day-to-day operations, budget, contracts and quotations for the project.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation including Request for Quotation, supplier contracts, grant milestone reports and evaluation reports, maintenance, and use of the Monitor CRMS business database.
- Ensure that all event expenditure is carried out in line with the project budget and in accordance with the Procurement Policy.
- Liaise with external suppliers including event organisers, public domain infrastructure suppliers, creative designers and production suppliers to meet operational requirements and plans for the delivery of the project.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including local businesses, residents, community organisations to meet operational requirements and plans for the delivery of the project and ensure they are informed, and issues are addressed.
- Liaise with the Executive Leadership Team, Councillors and Mayor, as appropriate, to ensure senior leadership is informed about the project and involved where appropriate.
- Deliver smaller activations as required such as Food Truck pop-up events

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience relevant to program design and project management.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience, with the ability to coordinate and manage projects and resources effectively.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills, with particular emphasis in the areas of consultation, negotiation, influencing and conflict management.
- Ability and willingness to work the core hours as well as flexible after-hours including weekends and public holidays during the project.

**What you'll get in return***
- $60 - $70 / hour + super
- Role to start ASAP on a 6-month contract with possibility for extension.
