Due to consistent growth, we now have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to join the team. As the driver to our People & Culture function, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of the human resources functions, with a particular focus on recruiting, training, and developing our people. As a highly successful and rapidly growing business, this is an excellent opportunity to take charge, tackle projects, look for continuous improvements and contribute to the growth and success of the business by implementing effective HR strategies and practices.

About the role

This role will take end to end ownership for HR & Talent, reporting into the CEO. Key responsibilities include:
Establishing & maintaining positive employee relations by promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment with a focus on designing and driving wellbeing strategy and practices

Leading training management and industry compliance requirements across the business

Driving recruitment end-to-end, collaborating with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, from developing job descriptions and competency requirements through to advertising and selection

Continuing to build our proactive approach to finding top talent and take a hands-on approach to leading recruitment and onboarding

Coordinating & conducting new employee orientations, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience

Continuing the development of our performance management and engagement processes

Serving as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries or issues

Expanding and updating HR policies, procedures and lead related projects

Providing guidance and training to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and compliance matters

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits records, and HRIS data

Preparing reports and analysing HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making

Assisting in payroll processing and ensuring accuracy in timekeeping and attendance records

About You

This new role will suit an entrepreneurial self-starter keen to leverage their knowledge and expertise from within generalist HR & recruitment, to make a meaningful difference to our business and our people. You’ll be comfortable in a small business environment and relish the challenges and opportunities that brings.

You are a self-starter, organised, with a proven track record in general HR practices, employment law & regulations and end-to-end recruitment processes. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are a team player enjoying the engagement that working in a team brings. You are proactive, solutions focussed and a natural problem solver with high attention to detail, able to engage with internal team members across all levels. Your expertise in the MS office suit is essential, as well as your ability to work with a high level of professional discretion.
