Industry Pathway Coordinator

**About the Role**
The Industry Pathway Coordinator - Justice will lead, implement, and coordinate the five-stream industry model for the Work Ready Release Ready (WRRR) program that will prepare and connect Workskil Australia customers with a prior offender history, to key employing sectors, in the following five Industry Streams:
- ** Construction and Mining** (Traffic Control, Labourers, Trade Assistants, Plant Operators, Welders and Concreters);
- ** Customer Service** (Retail, Hospitality, Care, Administration);
- ** Manufacturing **(Food, Butchery Clothing, Electronic, Metal, Plastics;
- ** Transport, Facilities and Logistics** (Drivers, Stores and Warehousing, Pick/Packers, Commercial Cleaning); and
- ** Customised Placements** (Individual job carving and arrangements, self-employment programs).
The role will undertake account management and business development at a senior level, and be able to engage with industry peak bodies, government and medium to large employers, to generate and manage innovative employment projects or contribute to supporting existing employment projects, in key industry areas. The role will also provide 2IC support to the Work Ready Release Ready program, supporting the Justice Programs Manager.
This is a full-time ongoing role; the base site will be Salisbury or Kilkenny and we will work with you around which is best suited, noting that regular travel across Adelaide Metro is required and semi-regular travel into regional SA. You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary packaging.
**About You**
To be successful in the role you will be able to:
- Maintain expert and up to date knowledge of Industry Streams, including knowledge of key employers, key job roles, skill shortage areas, career paths, required skill sets, qualification, and licence requirements.
- Interpret data and reports to understand the performance of participants engaging in the various Industry Streams, and identify gaps, barriers, and opportunities to improve placements and retention, as well as meet emerging job roles for prior offender participants.
- Engage with significant employers directly to generate vacancies and opportunities in each Industry Stream, working closely with the Work Ready Release Ready Broker.
- Develop, pilot, deliver and manage pre-employment programs, including micro credential programs, to skill and prepare participants for employment.
- Attend, arrange and host marketing and network events to promote the Work Ready Release Ready program, Workskil Australia’s justice capabilities and build future opportunities and partnerships.
- Work closely with the relevant Industry Associations, Employers and Chambers of Commerce in the delivery these initiatives, including Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs).
- Work closely and collaborate with Workforce Australia programs internally and externally and with external organisations involved in the care and support of participants.
- Work closely with the Department for Correctional Services
- Coordinate and provide support in the facilitation of the WRRR Employer Reference Group
- Adhere to the Integrated Management System and assist with continuous improvement activities.
You will also be required to:
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- Have a Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or higher qualification.
- It is desirable but not required for you to have a Diploma or Bachelor’s qualification in Criminology, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
