**How will I help?**

As our **Principal Experience Designer **you will be reporting directly to the Territory Lead. Your work is both strategic as well as hands-on design work, with a focus on informing and supporting our strategy and roadmap. You will support the team with design direction to balance delivering at speed with high-quality experiences.

You will be responsible for actively developing and mentoring other designers to support growth opportunities; as well as contributing to the overall program strategy and driving improvements in the ways of working.

You will also be responsible for:

- Inspiring and enabling your team, sharing strategic design and leadership knowledge to support growth and development opportunities for the team
- Working closely with the Territory Experience Design Lead to support strategic value streams across the program and demonstrate the value of design decisions
- Providing design direction and mentorship to individuals to help the team balance delivering at speed with high-quality experiences
- Partnering with other leads across product, engineering, and business teams to help influence platform strategy supporting customer and business outcomes
- Helping define success metrics with business teams to drive continuous improvement and development of our products and services
- Building relationships across value streams with other leads to help facilitate cross-team collaboration within delivery teams and squads
- Leading discovery research to inform conceptual direction and help shape opportunities for prioritisation
- Leading research operations including recruitment, facilitating testing sessions and actively contribute to analysis and synthesis
- Driving engagement with the design systems team to enable other designers to effectively leverage the component libraries and improve workflows for continuous improvement
- Influencing and shaping the way our teamwork across the end-to-end experience design and product development process
- Taking an active role engaging and sharing knowledge within the design community and other business partners

**What do I need?**
- You will be a self-starter, able to work self sufficiently
- A wealth of experience in the digital product design field
- Ability to work autonomously and leading independent strategic initiatives
- Capability to facilitate and foster stakeholder relationships
- Power to exercise governance and best practise
- Ability to play a mentoring relationship for the wider team
- You will carry a wealth of problem-solving skills and decisive thinking
- A strong background in financial or business analytics
- A strong technical skillset in analytics and sound commercial judgement
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
- Desire to be constantly challenged and develop new knowledge
