**About the Role**

As a Business Development Manager for Dulux Protective Coatings, you will utilise your extensive protective coatings knowledge to support, manage and grow our Dulux Protective Coatings business opportunities throughout Western Australia, ensuring excellence in technical advice, customer satisfaction and profitable growth.

Reporting to and working alongside the State Sales Manager, you will work independently in managing the state’s business development through specification, building solid relationships with tier 1 and 2 asset owners within the mining and heavy industrial sectors.

**Responsibilities**
- Identify and deliver new business opportunities throughout Western Australia and actively support promotional activities
- Develop and drive business relationships with key asset owners, large fabricators, tier 1 and 2 Builders, consultants, specifiers, and major sites through specification
- Write specifications for major projects and sites
- Increase Dulux exposure through specifications in the mining and heavy industrial sectors

**Skills & Experience**

To be successful in this critical role, you will come from a strong business development background, ideally with extensive protective coatings technical/ product knowledge, and you will be known for your natural ability to influence stakeholders to drive outcomes, and your initiative to identify growth opportunities.
- Proven experience in a similar role selling large volumes to asset owners with a desire to grow and progress in a business
- Experience working with Tier 1 & 2 Commercial Construction Builders & Developers - you’ll need strong knowledge and solid networks in this sector
- Experience working with a long-term sales pipeline and managing project data
- Ability to influence and present in a highly competitive market with various levels of stakeholders
- Industry experience or trade painter qualification coatings inspectors’ qualification (NACE CIP 1 and 2)
