Byron Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic Governance Coordinator. The position plays a key role in providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure Council has a robust governance system that complies with legislative requirements and promotes continuous improvement.

Some specific tasks include:

- Coordinating and overseeing the Corporate Compliance Framework.
- Contributing to the development of a sound governance framework; implementing and monitoring governance processes and strategies.
- Driving business improvement, awareness, and cultural change for strategic approaches to governance across Council.
- Coordinating governance reporting to the Executive Team and Council.

This is a fixed term position to temporarily replace an employee who is on secondment until 27 October 2025.

**Location**:
This position is based at Mullumbimby, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
