Byron Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic Grants Coordinator. The position plays a key role in leading the development and administration of grant applications to seek and increase funding for Council initiatives and priority projects. The position also implements strategies and systems to increase support from external funding bodies, advises internal clients on all aspects of external grant administration and maintains effective working relations with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Some specific tasks include:
- Regularly review Council’s strategic priorities to inform grant applications;
- Engaging with business units to integrate grants into forward planning for projects to meet Council and community need;
- Coordinating and assisting relevant staff with the development of well targeted, quality grant submissions in accordance with the program guidelines, including research and analysis to support funding applications.

Location: This position is based in Mullumbimby; however, Council may require you to work from other sites as required for operational reasons.
