**Description**:
As part of the journey, we are looking to hire a Purchasing Officer. Based in our head office in Eastern Creek, and reporting to the Procurement Manager, the position joins a proactive team as a key component assisting in delivering on daily purchasing activities and projects, specifically;
Determine and raise purchase orders with local and overseas suppliers
Follow up orders with suppliers and ensure orders are confirmed and shipped on time
Liaise with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure goods are shipped on time
Source new suppliers and manage information e.g. pricing, payment terms, lead times and MOQ’s
Accurately receipt inward goods
Contribute to the S&OP process
Liaise with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Marketing and Engineering Departments
Liaise with Engineering on suitability of parts and for sample approval
Identify and contribute to continuous quality improvement

**Skills and Experiences**:
We are looking for someone with the following traits and experience:
High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Be positive, have a resilient attitude, and the willingness to work autonomously and as part of a team
Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Purchasing role within a similar organisation

**Competency in Microsoft products such as**: excel, word, PowerPoint, visio etc
Experience using a MRP/ERP
Demonstrated ability to achieve pre-determined results and implement procurement capabilities
