Primary Care Physicians play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment and appropriate referral of chronic disease patients in particular across Heart Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease & Type 2 Diabetes and we need to identify more effective ways to understand, partner and provide better support for clinicians in this space.

**What you'll do**

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a dynamic, sales driven individual who is truly patient centric and has a passion to develop their career at AstraZeneca. We are looking for someone who is keen to be part of a successful and collaborative team to ensure positive outcomes for our customers, patients and the business.

In our team we are continuing to test and try new approaches. It will be essential to have a tenacious and solutions focused approach, and be comfortable that this role will evolve and change with your input as we learn more through implementation of this model in Primary Care. Therefore you will need to be very comfortable with ambiguity and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to this opportunity. It will also be essential for you to have a good understanding of compliance and Medicines Australia to navigate the right approach with this critical customer group, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.

The responsibilities of a Primary Care Account Representative will include:

- Development of deep understanding across Cardiovascular Renal And Metabolic therapeutic area and role of your brand/s in improving outcomes for patients with these interrelated conditions
- Strong understanding of the patient pathways in each area, including identification of key decision-making points and barriers for optimal care in the primary care space
- Ability to target and activate high potential and high opportunity GPs and GP clinics/accounts to drive growth and market share gains by influencing decision making points and removing barriers
- Delivery of customer and account plans to deliver on desired business outcomes
- Partnership with primary care HCP’s and staff both clinical and administrative
- Completion of detailed quarterly reviews of target accounts/customers assessing return on investment and prioritisation
- Reporting of progress on key customers and accounts to sales management and brand team
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal CVRM teams to enable the delivery of account and customer plans

**Essential requirements**:

- Based in Hobart but willing and able to travel regionally
- Proven sales success as a Sales Representative or HSR or KAM for 2-3years
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen including the ability to define customer and account engagement plans leading to brand and patient outcomes
- Experience with patient journey mapping and/or previous experience working in a key account management model highly regarded
- Completed Medicines Australia
