Due to growth we have an exciting new sales leadership opportunity available for a Primary Care Regional Sales Manager. Reporting to the Head of Sales. This dedicated Regional Sales Manager role will lead a newly created team of Primary Care Account Representatives (PCAR) to deliver a consistent approach to managing and driving our Primary Care facing activities in Vic, SA, WA and Tasmania for the CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolic) portfolio with a strategic focus around heart failure management.
This role will be pivotal in accelerating the growth and market share gains in the primary care environment and will focus heavily on leading collaboration with the relevant cross functional teams to identify and activate high potential and high opportunity clinics and GPs. We are looking for individuals with a high degree of business acumen and leadership who have the confidence and ability to foster a culture of empowerment within their teams to drive performance to achieve and exceed business expectations and targets.
In our team we are continuing to test and try new approaches. It will be essential to have a tenacious and solutions focused approach, and be comfortable that this role will evolve and change with your input as we learn more through implementation of this model in Primary Care. Therefore you will need to be very comfortable with ambiguity and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to the opportunity. It will also be essential for you to have a good understanding of compliance and Medicines Australia to navigate the right approach with this critical customer group, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.
**What **you**’**ll** do**:
Specifically leading a Primary Care Account Representative (PCAR) Team - you will instil a Key Account Management approach to the business. This role is critical to AstraZeneca Australia and will position the business to deliver success and maintain scientific leadership for our key products in the CVRM portfolio while positioning us to capitalise on future launches.
As the Primary Care Regional Sales Manager you will be primarily responsible for the attainment of sales and market share targets within Key Accounts in Vic, WA, SA and TAS through the effective leadership and management of the PCAR Team.
**Key **a**ccountabilities include**:
- In-field and virtual sales and key account management coaching (approximately 60% of time)
- Support your team with putting together comprehensive and strategic account management plans to drive value, deliver growth and maximise profitability in line with business strategy and sales targets
- Business planning including KAM, KEE development, segmentation and targeting
- Working in a cross functional team with marketing and medical colleagues to deliver account goals and KEE development and advocacy
- Driving the delivery of national, state and local initiatives aligned to brand strategy
- Deliver brand Growth and Market share targets for your region
- Establish strong working relationships with State Chronic Care Mangers and their teams to coordinate and deliver mutually aligned Territory Action Plans
- Drive a culture of sales excellence and continuous improvement
**Essential for the role**
- Demonstrated track record of successful pharmaceutical sales management 2-3 years
- Aligned therapeutic area knowledge across Cardiovascular, Renal and/or Metabolic highly desirable
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- Demonstrated successes in building strong external and internal relationships through effective communication, influencing and collaborative networking skills
- Results orientation, strong business acumen and analytical skills to enable you to effectively contribute to the creation and implementation of sales/marketing strategies
- Completed Medicines Australia CEP
- Business and/or Science related tertiary qualifications are preferred
