**About the Company**

This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency is working on a large scale public event in Sydney. We are looking for someone to start ASAP on a 12 month contract paying $800 per day + super.

**About the Role**

We are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Operations with a large Government agency to help with manage the operation of a large scale event based in Sydney. This role is for a 12 month contract paying $800 p/d + Super located in Sydney CBD.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans, considering event size, objectives, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate the design, setup, and maintenance of temporary facilities and structures required for the event.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and security regulations, prioritizing the well-being of attendees, staff, and participants.
- Lead a dynamic operations team, providing clear guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including government agencies, sponsors, and event partners, to foster positive relationships and align objectives.
- Manage the transportation, storage, and distribution of event resources, including equipment, materials, and merchandise.

**About You**
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events or projects, with a focus on operations, infrastructure, or logistics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making well-informed decisions under pressure.
