We're HOPR, one of Australia's fastest-growing functional beverage brands helping people cut back on alcohol without missing the vibe. HOPR was created to offer a healthier way to unwind with sparkling waters made from hops, adaptogens, and nootropics. What began as a home brewing project has now helped tens of thousands of Aussies have a better relationship with alcohol.

We're hiring our first Head of Operations: someone who lives and breathes logistics, can manage 3PL partners, and understands the differences between direct-to-consumer fulfilment and retail/wholesale distribution.

What You'll Do


• Lead the operations function end-to-end: production planning, warehousing, fulfilment, and freight.


• Manage and build strong relationships with 3PL partners, freight providers, and suppliers.


• Own DTC logistics (parcel fulfilment, Shopify/Starshipit integrations, inventory syncs) and retail logistics (EDI compliance, pallet shipments, retailer SLAs).


• Build and implement operational policies, SOPs, and budget controls.


• Lead a small but growing team, developing talent and driving performance.


• Monitor and report on key operational KPIs (OTIF, cost per case, fulfilment accuracy, warehouse efficiency).


• Partner with the CEO on strategic planning, risk management, and operational scaling.


• Drive continuous improvement in speed, cost, and quality across all operations.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in operations/logistics, with proven DTC fulfilment and retail distribution experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, not just execution, but
    owning operations as a business function.
  • Strong background in both DTC fulfilment and retail logistics (must have done both).
  • Hands-on with Shopify, Starshipit (or similar platforms) and inventory/ERP systems.
  • Deep experience managing 3PLs and freight providers.
  • Data-driven, highly organised, and comfortable working in a scale-up environment.
  • Leadership style: clear communicator, collaborative, decisive under pressure.
