**Position description**:
We seek enthusiastic **Technical Officers** to join our Histology department in** Macquarie Park.** You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Perform routine histology procedures including microtomy (tissue sectioning) and embedding and preparing high-quality slides for staining and analysis.
- Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Adhering to standard laboratory protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.
- Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues as they arise

We are looking for the following:

- Graduated with a Medical Science Degree or recognised AIMS equivalent.
- Minimum 2 year’s experience in a histology/anatomy lab or highly knowledgeable in histological processes, histological instruments and laboratory equipment
- Open to working either:

- Part time Saturday and Sunday with flexible hours
- Full-time (Weekdays and Weekends): Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday. Weekday hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexible weekend hours.
- Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
