We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader Intake to join our Intake and Admissions team located in St Kilda on a permanent full-time basis. The role will require you to work on site. **The Role**

The Team Leader Intake will oversight and support the development of best practice approaches and deliver comprehensive intake, triaging, assessment and care coordination.

As part of a multidisciplinary team that serves as the first point of contact to Windana, The Team Leader Intake demonstrates an exceptional level of rapport building and professionalism in their approach. The role supports the clinical delivery of treatment and care, ensuring both adults and young people receive timely, responsive and suitable services to meet their needs.

The Team Leader Intake will effectively engage, screen, assess, and refer adults and young people who access Windana for support, and provide information, advice and guidance to their family and friends where needed. The Team Leader is also expected to provide brief interventions and deliver group programs, whilst coordinating care for people who present with low intensity needs.

**Who we're looking for**

**The person we're looking for will have**:

- Experience working within the AOD or mental health service system and knowledge of addiction and mental health issues, impacts and navigation of the service system
- Sound knowledge of the principles of clinical risk assessment and management and a proven ability to develop strategies to support clients with a co morbid mental illness and drug & alcohol issue
- Undergraduate qualification in a related field, including Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Allied Health etc.
- Cert IV in AOD or evidence of meeting essential AOD elements.

The role of central intake is to provide a single access point for persons seeking to access the AOD withdrawal support and Rehabilitation Services that Windana provides.

Windana acknowledges that service navigation support plays a key part in people receiving assistance. The central intake teams role is to help people understand our the differing services within Windana, the processes required to access them and provide support to enable access.
