About the role
The APS6 Fraud Intelligence Analyst will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems.
Duties
Utilising a Certificate IV in Government (Investigation), or its equivalent, as set out in Public Services Training Package (PSP04) to support the planning and production of financial intelligence outputs and outcomes.
Conducting fraud assessments and producing financial intelligence reports for complex matters from the collection, evaluation and analysis of information.
Leading tactical intelligence projects through the development of collection plans, assigning tasks, analysing financial and other information, and articulating findings.
Complying with all relevant legislation, policy and guidelines for the management of information and the use of ICT systems and tools.
Contributing to the development of business rules, refinements and suggested avenues of analysis and investigation.
Producing financial intelligence products within set timeframes in compliance with legislative, policy and information security frameworks.
Maintaining accurate files and records in relation to business decisions and intelligence activities and functions, contributing to reporting requirements.
Providing ongoing intelligence support for matters referred for investigation.
Desirable skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in utilising Excel, interrogating data
Previous experience in an intelligence role
